Within just 29 short years on Earth, Hank Williams became a country music icon. The Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter released 55 singles, including such hits as “I Saw the Light,” “Your Cheatin’ Heart,” “Honky Tonk Blues,” and “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry” to name a few. His music has been covered by the likes of The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Elvis Presley, and many more. If that’s not noteworthy enough, the Alabamian’s grandfather fought on both sides of the American Civil War! Needless to say, there’s so much material here that it makes sense a biopic was made documenting Hank’s incredible life. In I Saw the Light (2015), English actor Tom Hiddleston plays the American legend as the musical drama follows Hank’s rise to fame. Along the way, he falls for Audrey Sheppard (Elizabeth Olsen), who becomes his duet partner, manager, lover, wife, mother of son Hank Williams, Jr., and divorcée. Thanks to Ms. Olsen’s portrayal, we can see Audrey was a stunner — especially when the skintastic actress dons a low-cut nightie in bed. Sweet dreams! Unfortunately for Hank, the more famous he gets, the more he has to travel, and being on the road takes a toll on his frail body. To cope with the pain of spina bifida occulta, Hank makes the fatal decision to mix chloral hydrate and alcohol. Still, his story isn’t a total downer. In fact, audience members may rise when a gorgeous groupie (Lauren Helling) pops up sans top. Praise the Lord, we saw her breasts!
