I'm Losing You (1998)

I’m Losing You (1998) is a drama based on the satirical Los Angeles novel by Bruce Wagner, adapted and directed by the writer. The story is about a movie producer nearing his 60th birthday, who gets an unwanted gift that he has inoperable cancer. Meanwhile, his son, a had-been actor who sells AIDA patients insurance polices, has a precocious daughter and a drug-addled ex-wife. It gets stickier and messier from there. It’s also a brutal sendup of Southern California narcissism with just enough nudity that you can coast on the superficial without investing in the criticism. Rosanna Arquette flashes her pubes briefly on the beach, and her butt is also strutted out quickly, and out of focus, when she gets out of bed. Then in the bathtub we’re teated to her teats. Meanwhile, Elizabeth Perkins' boobs are seen in a sex scene. We’re losing it.
