How to Murder Your Wife (1965)

How to Murder Your Wife (1965) stars Jack Lemmon as swinging bachelor and syndicated comic-strip artist Stanley Ford, creator of the cartoon adventure hero Bash Brannigan. After a pal’s wild bachelor party, Stanley awakes to find himself married to a blonde who popped out of the cake (Virna Lisi). As he finds himself enjoying his new status as a husband, Stanley marries off Brannigan too—until reader protest demands that Bash become a widower. When Mrs. Ford sees the comics, she misunderstands and disappears. This leads the police to suspect Stanley of homicide! Will he be able to clear his name and relocate his buxom bride? Finding out is murder in the best possible sense.
