Honey West

A series destined for almost total obscurity before Quentin Tarantino made it a subject of debate among his Reservoir Dogs, 1965’s Honey West offered the lovely Anne Francis in the title role and included a lot of pro-minority posturing. Honey takes over a detective agency after the death of her Daddy, and Honey doesn’t take long before she’s kickin’ ass on “The Man” to delightfully cheesy effect. Cousin to blaxploitation entries like Superfly and Foxy Brown, Honey West certainly packs enough nostalgia power to warrant a DVD release some day soon.
