Hollywood Palms (2001)

An aging child actor holds court in a decaying left-coast apartment building in the moody showbiz comedy Hollywood Palms (2001). Clark (Patrick Labyorteaux) is depressed that his career’s been on a downhill slide ever since he became a teenager, while elsewhere in the Hollywood Palms complex thirty-somethings Blair (Elizabeth Mitchell) and Jeff (Dean Cameron) are slogging through a loveless marriage and roommates Phoebe (Paget Brewster) and Kathleen (Kristin Bauer) are at each other’s throats. Director Jeffrey Nachmanoff infuses his another-night-in-star-city comedy with occasional pizzazz, including scenes of costar Elizabeth Mitchell looking A-list in her underwear.
