Hey, Landlord

Jerry Belson worked on The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Odd Couple, and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. Garry Marshall will be remembered as the creative juices behind works like Happy Days, Pretty Woman, and The Princess Diaries. Together they worked on one mid-70’s sitcom that they probably both erased from their resumes, a short-lived experiment called Hey, Landlord. In typical TV show fashion, a naïve young guy inherits a New York apartment building from his uncle, moves in, and meets the eclectic collection of oddballs populating the brownstone. Certainly not a terrible series, though one only the most ardent fans of Belson or Marshall need pursue.
