Gorp (1980)

Gorp (1980) is one of the quintessential summer camp movies. G.O.R.P is also a word used to describe homemade trail mix, or Good Ol' Raisins and Peanuts. Much like trail mix, Gorp feels like an almost random assortment of camp related scenes and ideas loosely mixed together. This film stars a very young Dennis Quaid and it marks the first starring role of Rosanna Arquette. But it's the young Fran Drescher that will really have you pitching a tent. You'll be wishing you could camp with this tramp as her damp and ample nipples are visibly erect in her bikini top. Years before she'd star in The Nanny, the raspy voiced Franny is sweet as Candy. The type of film that Wet Hot American Summer (2001) was spoofing, this film continues in the same vein as other popular comedies from the time such as Meatballs (1979) and Animal House (1978). Aiming to be as raunchy as can be, Gorp dives head first into plenty of sex and nudity, including a an entire bus full of mooning butts and a handful of breasts too. This is no school bus, it's much more like a drool bus!
