Golden Globes Nominees Announced; Many Nominudes Get Recognized

This morning saw the announcement of the nominees for this year's Golden Globes, and a few of Mr Skin's favorites made the cut, including Marisa Tomei and Kate Winslet, whose nude turns this year just missed the cut-off for landing on Mr Skin's list of the Top 20 Celebrity Nude Scenes of 2008. It's nice to see these nude ladies getting the credit they so hardily deserve!

In the category of Best Motion Picture - Drama, three of five nominees deliver nudity (The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, The Reader, and Revolutionary Road). Best Motion Picture - Comedy or Musical didn't fare so well, with the only skin coming in Burn After Readingand that was thanks to Frances McDormand's dastardly body double! Now we know why the Oscars snub comedies every year!

Angelina Jolie was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Drama for Changeling, which finds Ang changeling out of her clothes for a butt shot.

The supporting actress category offers up the best skin this year, with nods to Marisa Tomei in The Wrestler and Kate Winslet in The Reader.

Of all the actresses nominated for Golden Globes in the film category, only one, Viola Davis from Doubt, has never been naked onscreen. Those are some pretty good odds!

As for TV, the usual suspects are covered, with Californication, Entourage, and Weeds all getting nominated for Best Television Series - Comedy or Musical. In the Drama category, Dexter got a nod, as well as newcomer True Blood, which also secured a nomination for one of its super-nude actresses, Anna Paquin. Now she officially has award-nominated true jugs! And to round out the noms, Mary-Louise Parker is up for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series - Comedy or Musical for Weeds. ML won a Golden Globe for the series in 2006, but we think she just might take home a second this year in appreciation for delivering her first nude scenes on the show. What better way to say "Thanks for showing us your globes" than by handing over a Golden Globe?
