Gilmore Girls

No Nudity

Review

Lauren Graham and Alexis Bledel are the Gilmore Girls, a mother-daughter pair navigating the choppy waters of the modern American family. A seven season lasting WB turned CW mainstay, this one debuted in 2000 and ran until 2007, before being rebooted on Netflix for one season in 2016. The magnificently MILFy Lauren is Lorelai, a thirtysomething single mom who comes from a WASPy family but didn't quite turn out how they hoped. Instead, their hopes fall on the Ivy League obsessed smarty pants Rory (Alexis Bledel), who's tuition they pay as she attends a fancy high school called Chilton. For nearly a decade we watched as Rory, who ends up going to Yale, helped her friends like the rocker chick whose mom's super strict Lane (Keiko Agena), and the uptight blonde Paris (Liza Weil), while whether deciding to romance the literature loving bad boy Jess (Milo Ventimiglia) or the basic All American boy Dean (Jared Padalecki). Meanwhile, on top of fighting with her parents about everything, Lorelei was always flirting with the local diner owner Luke (Scott Patterson) and trying to help the other kooky characters living in Star's Hollow like the chef Sookie (Melissa McCarthy) and the quirky oddball Kirk (Sean Gunn). But this one was all about the banter. Oh, the gals Gilmore were so witty, spewing lightning fast, pop culture reference filled barbs at each other at a dizzying rate. But other than the constant schoolgirl outfits and our imagined stepmom and daughters fantasies, there wasn't all that much sexy stuff. Occasionally we'd get stuff like Shelly Cole and Teal Redmann in bikinis, which was a welcome thing to see. Less snappy dialogues and more scenes that tickled our hogs! We needed way more of those bikini girls on Gilmore Girls!
