Force majeure (1989)

In Force majeure (1989), two good time Charlies, Philippe (Patrick Bruel) and Daniel (Francois Cluzet), vacation in Southeast Asia with tender teen Hans (Thom Hoffman) as their native guide to geishas and grass. Before returning to Paris, the two present the lad with a gift of their leftover hashish to thank Hans for all the memories of mammories and mooshu. Eighteen months later they find out that Hans was arrested and imprisoned for drug possession shortly after their departure and will soon be put to death. Hans sends his ex-girlfriend, English eyeful Kristin Scott Thomas, to cajole them with the charms between her arms into coming to his aid. Phillipe and Daniel must decide between wasting their own lives and letting their faithful friend go up in smoke.
