Mr. Skin is fascinated with the R rated flick Fascination (2004). Not to be confused with the French chiller diller Fascination (1979), this skinternational thriller stars British babe Jacqueline Bisset. Is there anyone who hasn’t seen The Deep (1977) who needs to reminded of her charms? Or any man in general to be warned that some risk is involved when hooking up with an attractive woman — especially when her husband has recently perished under mysterious circumstances? Every sentient male realizes that the female is the more deadly of the species, but this knowledge, understood at a cellular, instinctual level, is no defense against the fairer sex’s unfair advantage. Once mesmerized by the gentle gender’s guile, a well-meaning guy is powerless to extract himself from the descending spiral of deception, even when that spell is being cast by a seemingly murderess miss who also happens to be his own mother. Looking for someone to trust, the distaff-blinded fool turns to another woman — the daughter of his killer mom’s new man. In other words, Patrick Doherty (James Naughton) is dismayed when his mother (Bisset) decides to wed Oliver Vance (Stuart Wilson) soon after his father has drowned. Oliver’s daughter Kelly (Alice Evans) feels the same so she and Patrick hook up to look into fishy evidence. Did this summary spoiler just spoil your trousers? If not, fast-forward to the 55-minute mark. That’s when Kelly and her lover go from the beach to the bedroom where she busts out her firm femme fatales!
