If you ever wonder where Shelley DuVall went after her short burst of superstardom (anyone who saw Popeye isn’t wondering much), she ended up hosting this ridiculously star-loaded kids TV series of fairy tales and stories. Starring at one time or another just about every person who ever appeared in front of a camera and even getting directors such as Tim Burton and Francis Ford Coppola to steer the ship, the show gave work to Vincent Price, Robin Williams, Jim Belushi, Billy Crystal, Carrie Fisher, Jeff Goldblum, Jennifer Beals, Malcolm McDowell, Joan Collins, Mick Jagger, Susan Sarandon, Pee Wee Herman, Frank Zappa… you get the idea. Everyone. Just as an appearance on Battle of the Network Stars announced you as a star of the 70’s, an appearance in this series told the world “yes, this person is the 80’s.” Good for them.
