Eye of God (1997)

Eye of God (1997) is a dark film with some bleak nudity from Martha Plimpton, but it's still worth the eye of Mr. Skin. The nonlinear story follows Martha's lonely small-town girl, who makes an erotic pen pal in prisoner Kevin Anderson. When he's sprung, they marry, and soon she's with child. That's about the time Martha learns that Anderson had been in jail for beating his first pregnant wife to death. Not a good sign. There's another story about a bloody, speechless teenage boy wandering the Oklahoma wilderness. The two seemingly disparate tales meet, but not before we get a look at Martha's tail--trouble is she's dead and being pulled out of the water all messy. Sometimes the way of the skinful is not pretty. But it's a road we must travel.
