Eureka Street (1999)

A brilliant business idea turns a chubby loser's life completely around in the UK mini-series Eureka Street (1999). Chuckie (Mark Benton) is 30 years old and lives with his parents in Northern Ireland with no job or romantic prospects. Then he starts his own company, and to everyone's surprise (especially his) it turns out that Chucky's got the Midas touch. That good fortune also extends to his buddy Jake (Vincent Regan), an unusually timid repo man who falls in love with Aoirghe (Dervla Kirwan), a woman from the other side of the tracks. But the real catch here is Elisabeth Röhm, who bares her Irish shirt potatoes passed out in bed next to our corpulent hero. Talk about luck of the Irish!
