Dream Lover (1986)

Dream Lover (1986) stars Kristy McNichol as an aspiring flautist. That's right, she spends much of the movie with a long, hard, tubular thing between her lips. It's a sight to see. Kristy follows her dream to the big city to suck flute with a jazz ensemble. But she's troubled by nightmares, and her life unravels as she discovers dark truths about her father. She goes to a sleep clinic to expose her unconscious fears, and a lot of bad stuff surfaces. But there's some good that comes out of it, too. Like at the beginning of the movie when a naked Kristy streaks out of her lover's bed. Her little darlings are seen in a flash. It's a fast and blurry scene, but those lovers are no dream.
