Review

Dracula: Dead and Loving It (1995) is the Mel Brooks take on our favorite bloodsucker. He parodies not only the original, but the various famous film adaptations of the vampiric lore. It feature Brooks, of course, as Dr. Abraham Van Helsing, and the always entertaining Leslie Nielsen as the Count. Funny is a given, but Brooks is often overlooked as a pervert. He’s never skinful in his depiction of desire, but there’s no denying that he’s into the ladies—the bigger the boobs, the better. Lysette Anthony, a top-heavy actress, plays Lucy Westernra, a flirtatious, vivacious and good-hearted woman, who becomes Dracula’s first victim. Her cleavage, however, victimizes the millions of sperm we spill at its sight.
