A Tribute to a True Icon of Skin

Nominated for five Golden Globes and the proud owner of two of the finest golden globes ever to grace Jiggle TV, pin-up queen and celebrated actress Farrah Fawcett finally succumbed to cancer today and Mr Skin is in mourning.

In the 1970s, Farrah started popping eyes with her popping nipples, which seemed about to burst out of whatever slinky top she was wearing during her reign on the original Charlie's Angels TV series.

Then those same ever-stiff nips turned her iconic picture into one of the best-selling pinup posters in history.

Jiggle TV Icon Fights Cancer

After Farrah Fawcett has treated for rectal cancer over the past three years, the press is now reporting that the disease has spread to her liver.

Mr Skin has high hopes that he spunky and sexy 62 year-old star, who recently dismissed reports she is in serious condition, can overcome this illness.

Farrah has had a special place in America’s heart since she appeared as Jill Munroe on Charlie’s Angels and had her famous nip-slip in the 1976 episode “Angels in Chains.”

Filmmaker Robert Altman has long been a favorite of famous female flesh fans, thanks to movies such as M*A*S*H, A Wedding, The Player, Short Cuts, and Ready to Wear.

Altman’s last great naked-actress opus, Dr. T and The Women, opened in theaters on this date in 2000.

Richard Gere stars in the first titular role, but it’s The Women that matter, and here we get sweet looks at the naked lady-parts of Farrah Fawcett, Helen Hunt, Janine Turner, and Holly Pelham.

After countless career ups and downs, maverick Hollywood auteur Robert Altman (M*A*S*H, Ready to Wear, Dr. T and the Women) released Short Cuts, his last great critically acclaimed hit -- and arguably his most towering naked celebrity triumph -- on this date in 1993.

Short Cuts adapts multiple short stories by esteemed writer Raymond Carver into a cross-section look at life in contemporary Los Angeles.

All that is well and artsy but what counts, and what puts Short Cuts on the short list of all-time great female nudity epics, is the unclothed work by Anne Archer, Frances McDormand, Lori Singer, and Madeline Stowe.
