When Dey Young was a wee miss fresh from earning her BFA at Scripps College, she starred in the rockstravaganza Rock 'n' Roll High School (1979) featuring The Ramones and their music. She played Kate Rambeau, the glasses-wearing straightman to P.J. Soles wild child Riff Randell. As if rockin' and rollin' and what-not with the Ramones weren't enough for any young starlet in a lifetime, Dey continued on to become a successful character actress. She turned up in no less than 40 primetime television series, and had recurring roles as Marnie Shepard in Extreme and Sally Caulfield-MacBride in The Marshal, both in 1995; Diane Trent in Diagnosis Murder in 1997; a long-running role as Dr. Irene Shulman in the sizzling nighttime soap Melrose Place from 1996-1999; Jean Ford on the funny and fun Popular (long live Mary Cherry!); and Commander Candace Carson on JAG in 2005. No stranger to the big screen either, Dey can be found in hit flicks like Strange Behavior (1981) as Caroline; a waitress in Spaceballs (1987); as Amy in The Running Man (1987); in Pretty Woman in 1990, where Julia Roberts tells her she made a big mistake, huge; as Al Pacino’s ex-wife in Frankie and Johnny (1991); Claudia in Back in the U.S.S.R. (1992); as Gail in Executive Decision (1996) with Kurt Russell, Steven Seagal, and Halle Berry; Mrs. Cochrane in The Mod Squad (1999); as a gate agent in Red Eye (2005) with Rachel McAdams; and What Just Happened (2008) as Robert De Niro’s first wife. Mr. Skin entered Dey into the database for several sexy seconds, but her role as Vera in a Conflict of Interest (1993) put everyone on notice that this unsuspecting siren was stacked with a pretty nice pair of breasts.
