Great Nudity!

Review

In Dangerous Liaisons (1988), decadent French noblewoman Marquise Isabelle de Merteuil (Glenn Close) is pissed off that her ex-lover is about to marry the young, gorgeous and virginal Cecile de Volanges (Uma Thurman). Determined to ruin the honeymoon, she sends one of her former lovers named Vicomte Sebastien de Valmont (John Malkovich) to deflower the bride. The problem is, Malkovich can't stick to the program and becomes obsessed with sticking it in Madame Marie de Tourvel (Michelle Pfeiffer). He’s got an added incentive on that one, too, since Close bets him a night of wild sex that he can’t land the married Pfeiffer. Throw in Close's decision to send a young Keanu Reeves after Uma as a backup plan, and there are all sorts of sexual schemes happening at once. Based on a banned novel from the late 1700's, which got turned into a hit play in the early eighties, you might be more familiar with the 1999 adaptation of the book, which made everyone a sexy teen and set the story in modern day America, Cruel Intentions. But for Mr. Skin's money, this is the best adaptation, since it's the one with the most nudity. Obviously the French were having a good time in the 1700's, but audiences were having a pretty good time in 1988, too, having a gander at a very new to acting Uma Thurman's nude work. Malkovich manages to convince Uma he needs to teach her how to have sex to satisfy her new husband, so we watch as he takes her top off and Uma's cans are placed on display. There are the bigger than you'd expect titties, and there goes the chastity! We also get to see Valerie Gogans' rack when a man leaves her in bed buck naked, somehow. And at one point, Malkovich even writes a letter using Laura Benson's ass as a table. We bet, a figurative bet not a night of mindblowing sex bet, that even if you're not into period pieces, you'll like this one since everybody was getting laid in Dangerous Liaisons!
