A movie that was originally supposed to be mostly about a character named Stormy (Sheila Kelley) who likes to do all sorts of dirty deeds with her brother, that subplot got pushed to the back burner when all the actresses of Dancing at the Blue Iguana (2000) started improvising and improving all over the place. Did the plot they came up with give Oscar nominated director Michael Radford the tools to craft a compelling story? No. Absolutely not. Critics loathed this one, and said it proved why you don't let actresses try to craft their own film's plot. But why he didn' have the tools for a top notch narrative, he had the kinds of gorgeous babes to make you play with your tool. Who needs an amazing plot when you've got naked women that are this hot? Essentially, all the dancers at The Blue Iguana have some unique problems. Angel (Darly Hannah) wants a baby, Jo (Jennifer Tilly) wants an abortion, Jasmine (Sandra Oh) wants to make it as a poet, Jesse (Charlotte Ayanna) wants the other strippers to accept her and Stormy (Sheila Kelley) want her brother. All we want is to see them naked, so we're not even going to try and solve their issues. Although right off the bat Jo and Angel seem to be able to help each other. You'll help yourself after seeing all the women who took the role to work the pole. The legendary Jennifer Tilly jiggles so much it's silly as her giant jugs bounce all over the stage. We can check out the top half of future Grey's Anatomy star Sandra Oh, looking oh so good topless and in a thong. Sheilla Kelley had us wanting to claim a long forgotten familial connection, while Charlotte Ayanna and Kristin Bauer van Straten both flash their tatas while dancing on stage. But the most disappointing lack of nudity comes from Daryl Hannah, who sure made a splash in a thong but never got fully nude. You'll be lubing your lizard watching Dancing at the Blue Iguana!
