If you know dark-haired beauty Crystal Chappell then you watch too many soap operas—or maybe Crystal is the reason you’re watching. After seeing the Silver Spring, Maryland, native strip down to her lacy underthings (that bra is a little see-through, right?) as Jessica Lansing in the “Dream Lover” episode of the series Poltergeist: The Legacy (she was the dream lover), it could be possible that your daytime viewing habits might be influenced by this totally hot honey. While she hasn’t only been seen kicking up drama and falling into bed during the daylight hours, soap operas are definitely where Crystal earned her fame. She started with a small role as Jane Kingsley in Santa Barbara in 1990; did a stint as Maggie Carpenter on one 1995 and one 1997 episode of One Life to Live; appeared in over 392 episodes of Guiding Light from 1999-2009, playing Olivia Spencer (with a bunch of different last names added on to it after multiple marriages); owned the role of Dr. Carly Manning on Days of Our Lives in 870 episodes from 1990-2011; and topped it all off with a short 18-episode run as Danielle Spencer on The Bold and the Beautiful from 2012-2013. She was pretty good at her job, because she earned seven Daytime Emmy nominations for her roles, and actually took one home in 2002 for her part on Guiding Light for Outstanding Supporting Actress. She also nabbed a couple of Emmys for her web series Venice the Series, which she helped write, produce, direct, and star in from 2009-2019. So, yeah, if you’re going to get into soap operas, Crystal is a pretty good reason.
