Ah my friends, welcome back to Castle Rackula. I wasn’t expecting you this early!

You’ve caught me watching one of my old favorites, Dracula Exotica with Vanessa del Rio and my dear friend Randy West. But that actually brings me to the point of this week’s visit.

When I was a young boy in pre-Christian Mamsylvania, my friends and I used to steal the erotic etchings of Messalina getting gang-banged by the senate that the Roman soldiers carried and hide them under our straw mattresses to look at by candlelight when everyone else was asleep.

Incidentally, the real Messalina was never as hot as Anneka Di Lorenzo (AKA Marjorie Lee Thoreson) was in Caligula. But then, the real Messalina would never have sued Bob Guccione for sexual harassment.

Pornography has come a long way since the days of the Roman Empire. And today’s porn stars, while they may not have the political pull that Messalina did, do have more star power.

And sometimes they use that star power to make the jump from creamed teens to scream queens. Here are few of my favorites.

Marilyn Chambers in Rabid

Marilyn Chambers went from being the girl on the Ivory Soap box to a Golden Age porn queen starring in the Mitchell brothers’ classic Behind the Green Door in 1972. Five years and two pornos later, Marilyn got a starring role in soon-to-be legendary Canadian sci-fi and horror auteur David Cronenberg’s Rabid.

Marilyn plays a vampiric woman whose armpit hides an anus and a phallic stinger, not unlike the vampires in China, actually. Strange place, China, but I love the food. Anyway, Marilyn returned to porn in 1979 when she got her ass fisted by Tana Robinson in Beyond DeSade. I think the Divine Marquis would have approved.

Traci Lords in Not of this Earth

Two years after her illicit career in the porn industry ended, Traci reemerged in the Roger Corman remake Not of This Earth, showcasing her famously upturned tits and magnificently puffy nipples in a remake of his 1957 sci-fi horror flick Not of This Earth, which would be remade again in 1995 with Michael York and Elizabeth Barondes.

Tracy never went back to porn and would only get naked one more time, in the 1997 thriller Extramarital. Traci Lords is Not of this Earth!

Amber Lynn in Evils of the Night and Things

The sister of recently deceased porn star Buck Adams, Amber Lynn is best known for her work in moves like Lesbionic Woman, Buttfuck Bonanza, and Cheek to Cheek, where she took two in the pink. But she has also made a couple of forays into the world of horror In 1985, she appeared alongside fellow adult performers Crystal Breeze and Jody Swafford in Evils of the Night, where she showed it all.

Then in 1989, Amber appeared in the legendary Things, now finally available through this official website, a movie whose cult following rivals that of similar cinematic sleaze like Boarding House and Troll 2. You’ll do things.


Evil Breed: The Legend of Samhain

Released on DVD in 2006, erotic horror creeper Evil Breed: The Legend of Samhain features a top crop of Vivid vixens at their hottest: Chasey Lain, Taylor Hayes, and of course, Jenna Jameson, who would later go on to star in Zombie Strippers. The plot follows a student group that treks out to a secluded cabin where they nestle in for the night to study Druid lore.

Little do they know that the cabin was once the scene of a grisly killing, and the woods are still home to a roving clan of merciless cannibals who have a taste for adult entertainers. Don’t we all?
