Comic Book Villains (2002)

Comic Book Villains, a 2002 comedy about two rival comic book store owners, is told through the point of view of the principal character, Archie, one of the store owners. Archie’s in the biz for the love of comics, while the owners of the other store, a husband and wife, are only in it for the money. The tension between the two parties is intense, but grows stronger when a comic collector spreads word that he’s found a secret stash. Now both stores are trying to acquire the goods, but beyond them there are other villains who’d like to get their hands on these rare gems. A nerdy movie like this could have used some nudity to make it all the more enjoyable, but we’ll have to settle for some clothed pole dancing from Monet Mazur, who does bring some spice to the flick. Frame by frame, this is a good comic strip!
