The legitimately legendary Christie actually scored her first Sports Illustrated cover back in 1979, but that only primed the '80s for college dorms wallpapered in the poster form of Christie (not to mention two more SI covers). Christie was discovered in a Paris post office while studying art in France, and immediately became a sensational supermodel. Her beauty, and starring role in Billy Joel's "Uptown Girl" music video made her a celebrity before she was was perfectly cast as Chevy Chase's skinny dipping lust object in National Lampoon's Vacation (1983), a role she reprised in Vegas Vacation (1997). Alongside Chuck Norris she hawked the "Total Gym" for years, taking a long break from acting until she returned in an episode of Ugly Betty, had a recurring role as Jerry's wife Gayle Gergrich on Parks and Recreation, and showed up in episodes of Nightcap and The Goldbergs. But the best chance to look at Christie off the page came in the Sports Illustrated videos the magazine releases of their swimsuit edition photo shoots. Our favorite video to release to came in 2017, when SI shot Christie together with her two daughters, the then 31 year old Alexa Ray Joel and the then 19 year old Sailor Brinkley Cook. Together in swim suits up to their knees in the ocean, it is hard to tell which black bathing suited beauty is the mom.
