Corin Nemec is Richard Speck, a redneck in a heck of a lot of trouble. He's behind bars, and the flashbacks in Chicago Massacre: Richard Speck (2007) are more than enough explanation for why that is. His name might also be a wee clue: Speck was one of America's most notorious murderers, having murdered eight student nurses from South Chicago Community Hospital in 1966. Writer-director Michael Feifer—who also made the serial-killer biopic Ed Gein: The Butcher of Plainfield (2007)—begins his retelling of Speck's life with a flashback portrait if the de-Speckable fella as a young man. After a bunch of run-ins with the fuzz, he hops a train to Chicago and takes to charming the ladyfolk. One broad in particular whets his appetite so much that he decides to visit her at home . . . and maybe rob her too. But once he gets there, Dr. Jekyll turns into Mr. Stab Their Hides. Candyman Tony Todd shows up as a police captain, and Lost's Andrew Divoff is the detective on the case.
