What some kid stars, or stars who do kids shows, do to prove they’ve grown up: go naked on camera. London-born Caroline Ellis entered show business at age six, but it wasn’t until she was an adult, playing a pixie-cute, bug-winged rock singer in a children’s show that she found a bit of stardom. As Joy in the bizarre ‘70s kids’ musical-comedy show The Bugaloos, she flew through 17 episodes from 1970-1971. She then moved on to the part of Jill Rowles in the series Freewheelers in 1972, did a guest stint on The Many Wives of Patrick in 1976, then headed to the big screen for Confessions from a Holiday Camp (1977). In the English comedy romp, Caroline plays the character Glad—which doesn’t nearly express the emotion she evokes when she appears on screen in a white bra and panties, then appears on screen taking off a white bra and panties, then stands on screen with her plump little posterior in full view, then turns and stands on screen in full-frontal glory, sharing her small handful of breasts and ‘70s-style furry triangle. Definitely not suitable for children. Cutie Caroline finished out her career in television, as Theresa in an episode of Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson in 1980, Michelle in Only Fools and Horses in 1981, and numerous roles in The Cut Price Comedy Show from 1982-1983. Rumor has it she retired from show biz when she became pregnant, and eventually moved to Spain, where she’s now a real-estate agent. Mr. Skin is assuming she does open houses without the wings…
