Review

If it’s a big bowl of B-Movie cheese with guacamole on top, it’s got to be Cannibal Women in the Avocado Jungle of Death (1989). Concerned for the future of America’s avocado supply, the US government sends womens’ studies professor Margo Hunt (Shannon Tweed) and her companions, ditzy undergrad Bunny (Karen Mistal) and chauvinist pig/guide Jim (Bill Maher) to the outer reaches of the “Avocado Jungle” (aka San Bernadino). There, this motley crew meets two warring tribes of man-hating cannibal Amazons, the more ferocious of which is led by Margo’s colleague-turned rival Dr. Kurtz (Adrienne Barbeau). Speaking of camp, you’ll be pitching a tent when you see Playboy playmate Shannon in a skimpy, sexy Me-Jane ensemble, along with Karen's very, very ‘80s pink spandex bikini. Talk about a Hard-on of Darkness!
