The teen rom-com Can’t Buy Me Love (1987) borrows a Beatles song and dovetails off of the hit flicks of John Hughes. Like the lead characters in Sixteen Candles (1984) and Weird Science (1985), Ronald (Patrick Dempsey) is sick of being an unpopular nerd in class. Since he wants to be as cool as the titular student in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off (1986), Ron pays popular girl Cindy Mancini (Amanda Peterson) $1000 to pretend to be his girlfriend for a month. His plan is that, with a cheerleader on his arm, he can break into the hip clique at school. Amazingly enough, the scheme actually works! Yet Ron soon discovers that being all that isn’t what it’s cracked up to be — especially after meeting and falling for Iris (Devin DeVasquez). Originally titled Boy Rents Girl, the movie has a sweet message. Too bad, the film couldn’t show any nudity in the process of relaying its lesson. Nevertheless, there are plenty of babes wearing very little. Barbara (Darcy DeMoss) sports a sports bra and Patty (Tina Caspary) dons a black brassiere as the girls literally hang out in the locker room talking about a guy. Not to be outdone, the boobs on busty Ms. Peterson are barely contained by her bra. If that’s not titillating enough, the top-heavy hottie also flashes her panty-clad bum in one scene and her sexy two-piece ensemble in another. Even though cash couldn’t buy Ronald love, the gorgeous ingénues in this movie can give you a bone!
