Hosted by Ahmet Zappa, VH1’s 2005 competition show But Can They Sing? featured well-known actors who wanted to branch out into singing careers and had to prove their abilities to a panel of judges every week. Contestants included Morgan Fairchild, Antonio Sabato Jr., Michael Copon, and Chinese-born bisexual babe Bai Ling, who quickly became a fan favorite with her idiosyncratic renderings of American pop songs.
