Broadcast News (1987)

Two reporters compete for the anchor’s desk- and the heart of a foxy female producer- in Broadcast News (1987). The handsome, charming, and talentless Tom Grunick (William Hurt) has just joined the staff of an unnamed nightly news show. This is bad news for Aaron Altman (Albert Brooks), an experienced reporter with less stage presence than the desk he sits at. Both men are skinterested in no-nonsense producer Jane Craig (Holly Hunter)- will she follow her head and go with stable, traditional Aaron, or will she follow her heart-shaped box and go with charismatic pretty boy Tom? Breaking nudes! The theatrical version of Broadcast News is non-nude except for a tantalizing nip slip from girl reporter Jennifer Mack (Lois Chiles). But in the new (or should we say nude) Criterion Collection edition of the DVD, we get full-on broadcast boobs from Lois as she bares breasts screaming and swearing in the sack with William Hurt.
