We're big fans of rock music here at Skin Central, but we’re even bigger fans of porn stars, so of course we were thrilled to interview Bree Olson, Kelley Jean, and Tuesday Cross of the porn star-turned-rocker movie Tight.
The recently released film follows four adult performers who have never had any trouble getting men to bang heads, Monica Mayhem, Tuesday Cross, Alicia Andrews, and Layla Labelle. With hardcore superstar Bree Olson on hand as manager, they headed to Las Vegas on a quest to become the world’s hardest-rocking raunch 'n' rollers.
After filming wrapped, lead singer Monica Mayhem left the group and was replaced by another adult performer with a great set of lungs, Kelley Jean, who led the band to a victory on Howard Stern's XXX Factor talent competition back in April.
Bree, Kelley, and Tuesday took some time off from turning the whole world on to talk to Skin Central about groupies, the finer points of band life, and their favorite music for getting it on. Rack ‘n’ roll!

Bree Olson: I got a call from my agent telling me about this cool porn star band project. I told him I didn’t have any musical talent but he said it was okay because they wanted me to play the band’s manager. Boss a bunch of hot porn stars around? That I can do!
Kelley Jean: I met the producer Jason on YouTube. I had googled "Porn star band" and Tight was the first thing that popped up. I thought, “well this looks fun!” Monica (Mayhem) the original singer had quit the band, so I auditioned to take her spot! I recorded the tracks, sent them in and was chosen to be the newest addition to the band.
Tuesday Cross: Craigslist. Kidding, I found out about Tight when their people hit up my people. The whole concept and especially the music caught my attention. My agent talked me into making an audition video, so I sent them a little clip of me playing the song "Angel Witch" by Angel Witch. That easy.
Any particularly memorable moments while performing?
BO: My part was shot in a week so it was a bit of a whirlwind. I got to take a couple of the girls shopping for costumes and that was fun. Tuesday Cross is so sexy! I was there at the band’s second or third rehearsal and it was amazing seeing how fast they improved by the time they played their first gig. I’m most proud of my idea for the band to throw a golden condom in the crowd and whoever caught it got to go backstage and party with the girls. They used that idea in the movie.
KJ: We throw out something (to the audience) called ‘The Golden Condom’. The winner gets to come backstage and hang out. If you watch the DVD, you will see some of that crazy action happening.
TC: Well there are a lot of good times I wish I could remember, and there are a lot of memories I'm trying to forget. Watching the movie jogged my memory a bit. Many incidents were left out, we were too much. Ah, I remember when I turned 20 in Phoenix and got utterly inebriated before the show, mangled the songs, got booed off stage, and blacked out. So I proceeded to burn the bible and satisfactorily offended the cameramen so much they shut off their cameras, stomped to their room and refused to film the rest of the night.
Does the band have groupies?
KJ: The band has groupies, both men and women as well!
BO: From day one, they had groupies! At their first ever show there was this super hot girl that was horny for the entire band. Tuesday talked her into flashing the crowd!
TC: This one broad was there for our first show, she was the most stoked person there, so I suggested she show us her tits mid show and they were so perfect! Then she was at every show after that.
The band won Howard Stern's XXX Factor, what was the competition like? Were you expecting to win?
KJ: The competition was fairly easy. The other talents were all kind of silly and gimmicky, but we actually were serious. Howard even said that he was NOT expecting us to sound that great when he saw us, figured we were all looks, no talent. But then admitted to be really impressed and surprised by how good we were!
Which is harder, being in a band or the adult film industry?
BO: Band manager, definitely. That’s actual work. I had to babysit four porn stars who wanted to murder each other half the time. Being in the adult film industry is just having sex and having fun.
KJ: A band is MUCH harder. With adult films, you know exactly what to expect before walking in to a situation. With music, you never know what’s around the corner.
TC: The adult industry is definitely harder; harder work schedule, harder sex, harder partying, harder hangovers and harder dicks, hands down.
Do you think you'll ever do porn again?
BO: Never say never.
KJ: No. The value of the market has drastically gone down since I retired from the industry. Girls are making a third of the money we used to make. I still do occasional bachelor parties for my own company, Motorcitydolls.net but that’s the extent of it. I own a party bus company, and also do an online TV show called Detroitdungeon.com which both keep me busy as well.
TC: As long as I’m still horny and impulsive and there are guys with a camera close by, there's always a possibility. I never meant to completely stop; I just faded out and fell in love, and focused on music.
Are you doing music actively right now? Any plans to perform in the near future?
BO: I’ve done a couple fun projects, but no real plans to pursue music as a career or anything.
KJ: I am in the process of recording a ton of new music, both electronic/dance as well as rock and roll. I plan on touring as soon as my next solo CD is released in 2013, and I am hoping to tour with Tight in the near future!
TC: Fuck yea. I am currently the bassist for Boots Electric, whom is also my darling dollface I adore. I ooze my panties at the mention of his moustache and chest hair. The best way to describe our music would be the Beastie Boys gang banging Gary Glitter as Gary Numan films the whole thing while jacking off.
What's your favorite music for sexy times?
BO: I have pretty diverse tastes and can listen to almost anything. I’m not the type of girl who needs pretty music to feel sexy.
KJ: Right now a short list would be: Krewella "Killin’ It", Rihanna "Red Lipstick", Ray J."Banana’s", Adventure Club "Crave You- Dubstep version", or anything by Prince!
TC: Slow and heavy. Pentagram, Sleep, Black Sabbath, etc.
What’s the first movie and/or TV nude scene you remember seeing?
BO: I’m sure I must have seen something, but I saw my first porn when I was pretty young and that blocked out any little nudity I may have seen previously. I was like, "this is cool, I want to do that!"
KJ:Emmanuelle. I don’t remember which one. I was like 12 and watching cable in my grandparent's basement. Watching soft-core porn. That’s pretty rock star if I say so myself.
TC:American Psycho, when he's bangin' those two hookers as he's checkin' himself out in the mirror. Kinda odd? Perhaps. But it was fucking awesome!
What’s your all-time favorite nude scene in a mainstream movie?
BO: My nude scene in Tight! I’m sorry, but it’s just funny to me that they filmed it with my supposed cousin sitting in a chair watching me having sex while he’s slurping down anchovies.
KJ: In Silence of the Lambs when the killer does the weenie tuck. LOL! I am totally just kidding it’s got to be Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett and Dakota Fanning as Cherie Curry in The Runaways that was HOT.
TC: My favorite nude scene of all time would have to be the last scene from the movie Sleepaway Camp. When they find Angela naked just standing there. Watch it. [Ed. Note: Don't do it, the end of Sleepaway Camp can never be unseen!]
What’s next for you?
BO: Tight 2?
KJ: This week I will be hosting the Detroit segment on a new TV Show for the Aggression TV channel, and it is called Fighting Words. It has to do with hot females and MMA fights. Blood and boobs, you just can’t beat it. I also plan on just working on music, growing, gaining life experiences and enjoying myself along the way! I will be sure to keep updating online as I journey.
