Cult director Terry Gilliam brings all of Kafka's nightmares to life in stunning Art Deco style in his sci-fi masterpiece, Brazil (1985). In the world of Brazil, bureaucracy is king and routine is sacred, so when file clerk Sam Lowry (Jonathan Pryce) sets out to correct an administrative error, he finds not only resistance from his fellow bureaucrats, he unwittingly becomes an enemy of the state. His only allies are rogue repairman Archibald 'Harry' Tuttle (Robert DeNiro), who defies authority by swooping in and-- horrors!-- fixing things without filling out any paperwork, and the angelic Jill Layton (Kim Greist), who has literally stepped out of Sam's dreams. Speaking of dreams, you'll be having some wet ones about Kim when her lovely left booblet pops out in the bath 4 minutes in. Brazil will have you reaching south of your equator.
