Blue Valentine (2010)

Looking for a fun rom-com to watch with your girl on Valentine's Day? Then avoid this flick at all costs! Yes, the indie drama Blue Valentine (2010) is an absolute bummer, which at least cheers us up a little by showing Michelle Williams' bum! The drama stars Ryan Gosling and Michelle Williams as Dean and Cindy, a couple who marry young when Cindy gets knocked up by her violent ex-boyfriend Bobby (Mike Vogel). Cindy was gonna become a doctor, but she ends up a nurse, while the unambitious dreamer Dean ends up a house painter and a horrific drunk. Things go bad pretty quickly, as the two struggle to raise the child they named Frankie (Faith Wladyka). Their dog dies which Dean blames on his wife's failure to shut the fence gate, their marriage crumbles, and Dean starts a fight with a doctor at Cindy's work, since the doc with the wandering cock won't stop hitting on her. Will Dean be able to put down the bottle? Will they stay together for the kid who isn't his? Will anyone not be glum after watching? Like we said, this one's depressing, but there is a moment when the former Dawson's Creek star does some impressing. First, we see as Bobby hits it from behind, which gives us a look at Michelle's ass, although she keeps a tee shirt on. He can't time the exit, however, which is how Cindy becomes a mom. Then, before Cindy and Dean end up in a sexless marriage, we get to see Gosling eating her out when they were young, again with her in a shirt, and then him trying to rail her on a table once they're old. We get all three B's from Michelle, before she decides she's not into it and rejects her mustachioed man. Blue Valentine might give us the blues, but at least it doesn't give us blue balls!
