Blue Smoke (2007)

After witnessing her family's pizza joint burned to a crisp, eleven-year-old Taylor Dauphinais resolves to become an arson investigator. Now she's all grown up and looks just like Alicia Witt, bless her heart (and all her other parts), and tragedy is about to take her on again in Blue Smoke (2007). Not only did Alicia's family restaurant end up flame grilled, her college boyfriend went kablooey in a dorm fire immediately after their first time in the sack. What can we say, the girl is smoking! Now yet another boyfriend, fireman Ben Ayres, has become a crispy critter in a clear case of arson, and Alicia starts to suspect that all the crimes are connected. Who is out to snuff out her spirit? How does she know the pyro? What will become of her newest beau, Bo (Matthew Settle)? It's up to Alicia and fellow arson cop Scott Bakula to smoke out the firebug before yet another life gets snuffed.
