In Bienvenue au gîte (2003), a thoroughly modern Parisian couple moves to the countryside to take over a bed and breakfast from a friend. The tension comes from the relationship between the Parisians--liberal, free-minded individuals--and their more conservative neighbors. Comedy and pathos combine to make for an invigorating movie experience. It's quick, but check out the saucy nipplage from Julie Depardieu.
