Being 17 (2016) is about a young man named Damien who lives with his mother Marianne (Sandrine Kiberlain) who is a doctor. Damien (Kacey Motett Klein) is bullied by Thomas (Corentin Fila) whose mother is sick. The boys overcome their differences when Marianne starts treating Thomas' mother and invites Thomas to stay with them. Mr. Skin needs to call the doctor because she is so drop dead sexy. Sandrine Kiberlain is laying on her back in bed with the covers pulled down below her juicy jugs. Those rounds patties are with perky nipples look as young and firm as 17. While it's a bit disappointing that the flick didn't show off more flesh, there's still plenty to admire about this movie. The film's title is derived from the first verse of Arthur Rimbaud's 1870 poem "Roman". Additionally, the poster's tagline "Adolescence is the only period in which we learn anything" is taken from the second volume in Marcel Proust's novel "In Search of Lost Time". Mr. Skin is always in search of thought-provoking films that aren't afraid of embracing their skin-ful side. Being 17 is one of those movies that is thoroughly engaging for a watch and shows off just enough skin to pop off a load or two. There's plenty of gay sex-capades that take place over the course of the film as well between Damien and his ex-school-crush Tom. It's a subtle coming of age tale that offers more than simply a LGBTQ theme. The layered screenplay and flawless performances make this one a worthy watch!
