Barry McKenzie Holds His Own (1974)

The kind-hearted doofus is back for more adventures in Barry McKenzie Holds His Own (1974). Down-under dolt Barry McKenzie (Barry Crocker) is escorting his aunt, Edna Everage (Barry Humphries), to the UK so they can meet up with his long lost twin brother. But en route a couple of Transylvanian agents mistake Edna for Queen Elizabeth II and kidnap her under the orders of the evil Communist vampire Count Plasma (Donald Pleasance). Now Barry’s got to save his family, but not before he chases plenty of tail. This sequel features even more succulent sweet rolls than the original with both Fiona Richmond and Nell Campbell shaking their spotlights onstage during a skintillating production. Plus Katya Wyeth brings out her perfectly upturned set to seduce the eponymous hero. That’ll get you holding your own!
