Avril (2006)

A young nun uses the two weeks before her final vows to explore life outside the convent in Avril (2006). Avril (Sophie Quinton) was taken into a Trappist order of Strict Observance as a young orphan and groomed to one day take her vows as well. Shortly before her confirmation, Sister Bernadette (Miou-Miou) tells Avril that she was not found alone, but had a twin brother who was given over to a Jesuit orphanage. Avril uses her two week solitary retreat of silence and fasting to track down her brother with the help of a stranger, Pierre (Nicolas Duvauchelle), and gets her first taste of the outside world.
