According to the Chinese Zodiac, 2007 was the year of the pig. We at MrSkin.com, however, believe that 2007 should have been the year of the sweater puppies, as it will be forever known as the year premium channels made a concerted effort to sex up their original programming.

Californication, Tell Me You Love Me, and The Tudors all debuted in the past twelve months with their best breasts forward, churning out a wealth of envelope-pushing skin. Plus, when you combine these shows with existing heavy hitters like The L Word, Entourage, Rome, and Masters of Horror, we could very well be awash in a golden age of big-time nakedness on the small screen.

What follows are twelve shows—a stroker's dozen—that made 2007 skintillatingly skinsational, ranked by the total number of actresses who appeared nude.

12. THE SOPRANOS (HBO)
Who Got Nude in 2007: Jen Araki
Skin's Pick: While The Sopranos may now sleep with the fishes, its reruns will leave us happy in the britches. After playing hide the cannoli with James Gandolfini, Jen Araki (Picture: 1) enjoys a topless post-coital heater in bed. If only they had dubbed "Don't Stop Believing" over this scene and cut to black. Then we'd have an ending that everyone could agree was awesome.

11. BIG LOVE (HBO)
Who Got Nude in 2007: Rachel Avery, Ginnifer Goodwin (Picture: 1)
Skin's Pick: Fresh out of the shower, Rachel Avery (Picture: 1) gives Bill Paxton a view of her tatter-day saints as she towels off. Big Love? More like big chub.

10. BROTHERHOOD (Showtime)
Who Got Nude in 2007: Hannah Barth, Janel Moloney
Skin's Pick: Viewers are treated to some nice nip as Jason Clarke goes for a ride on the Janel Moloney (Picture: 1) pony. You also get a great view of Moloney's muffins as she and Clarke relax after their jaunt (Picture: 1).

9. DEXTER (Showtime)
Who Got Nude in 2007: Julie Benz, Jaime Murray
Skin's Pick: When Dexter takes a break from slaying killers and decides to slay some trim, he calls upon Jamie Murray (Picture: 1). Murray seizes the moment by showing off her gorgeous girls and giving Dexter some poon-plowing pointers while he slips her a non-lethal injection.

8. MASTERS OF HORROR (Showtime)
Who Got Nude in 2007: Julia Anderson, Robin Sydney
Skin's Pick: In another sad turn of events, Masters of Horror also signed off this year. But it leaves behind a treasure trove of great scenes for your enjoyment. In the installment Right to Die, Julia Anderson (Picture: 1 - 2) keeps some lucky guy from drowning by setting her personal flotation devices on him while they make waves in the tub. Man, those things are huge!

7. TELL ME YOU LOVE ME (HBO)
Who Got Nude in 2007: Michelle Borth, Sonya Walger, Ally Walker
Skin's Pick: Selecting a single highlight from this show would be like asking a parent to pick their favorite child. It can't be done because you couldn't possibly love any of them more than you already do. However, we highly recommend checking out Michelle Borth (Picture: 1 - 2) and her bevy of "three star" scenes, which she turned out in four consecutive episodes.

6. WEEDS (Showtime)
Who Got Nude in 2007: Jessica Jaymes, Mary-Louise Parker (Picture: 1), Elizabeth Perkins, Kristen Price
Skin's Pick: Real-life porn stars Jessica Jaymes (Picture: 1 - 2) and Kristen Price (Picture: 1 - 2) show off some full-frontal fineness while walking to the craft-services table. Unfortunately studies have shown that this scene is not a gateway to harder nudity.

5. ROME (HBO)
Who Got Nude in 2007: Noa Bodner, Kerry Condon (Picture: 1), Alice Henley, Lyndsey Marshal, Zuleikha Robinson (Picture: 1)
Skin's Pick: Max Pirkis gives Alice Henley (Picture: 1) the best of his love as he pounds away at exceptional speed. Talk about life in the fast lane! This scene will give you a peaceful, easy feeling . . . in your pants.

4. ENTOURAGE (HBO)
Who Got Nude in 2007: Monique Alexander, Christina DeRosa, Roxy Jezel, Sophie Monk, Shamron Moore
Skin's Pick: Christina DeRosa (Picture: 1) keeps it short and sweet as she flashes Turtle her DeBoobs—and they're DeAwesome. It's a DeShame that her poon-tourage didn't tag along to the party as well.

3. THE TUDORS (Showtime)
Who Got Nude in 2007: Anna Brewster (Picture: 1), Natalie Dormer (Picture: 1), Rebecca Friberg, Ruta Gedmintas, Slaine Kelly, Fiona Ryan
Skin's Pick: Ruta Gedmintas (Picture: 1) shows off the breathtaking scenery from the northern territories of her United Kingdom as the brooding Jonathan Rhys Meyers buries his royal scepter inside her. Perhaps historians should consider referring to Henry VIII as Henry the Laid from here on out.

2. CALIFORNICATION (Showtime)
Who Got Nude in 2007: Alison Mei Lan, Camille Langfield, Paula Marshall (Picture: 1), Rachel Miner (Picture: 1), Laura Niles (Picture: 1), Michele Nordin, Brooke Taylor, Madeline Zima
Skin's Pick: Madeline Zima (Picture: 1) and David Duchovny trade blows in the sack . . . she punches his face and he penetrates her kitty. If you ask me, Duchovny definitely gets the better end of this deal. And even though the nudity tapered off considerably as the season wore on, the producers were smart enough to show Duchovny dipping his jolly rancher into Zima in the "previously on" vignette that started almost every show.

1. THE L WORD (Showtime)
Who Got Nude in 2007: Janina Gavankar, Leisha Hailey, Sandrine Holt, Kristanna Loken, Katherine Moennig, Rose Rollins, Daniela Sea, Rachel Shelley, Cybill Shepherd, Grace Sherman
Skin's Pick: Kristanna Loken (Picture: 1) and Katherine Moennig (Picture: 1) get down to business—specifically one another's business. Loken goes from T3 to 2B's as she and Moennig bump fuzzies in a nice long scene. Is there anything prettier in this world than two girls going to town on each other? Alright, fine, maybe three girls going to town on each other.
