April Fool’s Day (1986) follows a group of nine college students who are staying at a friend’s remote island mansion and start to fall victim to an unseen murderer over the title’s holiday weekend. That premise, however, doesn’t take into account that this is a total sendup of horror film tropes that still manages to deliver the slasher goods audiences want. But there’s more to a good scare than gore and screams, we want skin, and we get it with Deborah Goodrich who pops up in a few revealing bathing suits and lingerie. That tease is then fulfilled by Amy Steel, with some quick T-shirt and panties strut that will make you hard as steel.
