Appropriate Behavior (2014)

Written and directed by and starring Desiree Akhavan, the independent British comedy Appropriate Behavior (2014) explores what it means to stay true to your roots and yourself, and how the two rarely line up. Desiree plays Shirin, a woman hiding her bisexuality from her immigrant parents much to the chagrin of her ex-girlfriend Maxine (Rebecca Henderson). When Shirin's parents tell her that her brother is to be married to a woman selected by them and traveling here from Iran to marry him, she spirals into a series of sexual misadventures designed to shake up her family's world once and for all. The best thing about this film is that it doesn't shy away from the sexual side of things, and we get two terrific lesbian encounters in the film! Desiree Akhavan bares her sensational suck sacks in both of them despite the fact that neither of the ladies she hooks up with do, but that's okay. Desiree's perfect pair more than make up for the lack of skin on the other ladies' part!
