The haunts of the jazz lifestyle are no place for a little girl to grow up, and the shady characters who populate these smoky dives are not the most nurturing role models. A budding woman is especially at risk if her body and face mature into a physical embodiment of sensual grace, such as is the fate of a hipster musician’s daughter in Wild Orchid 2: Blue Movie Blue (1992). When be-bopping daddy sickens and dies, he leaves behind no life insurance or IRA, and his baby, Blue, is left to rely on the guidance of the questionable characters from Daddy’s lowlife milieu. Taken under the wing of a bordello madam, Blue resolves to fly that carnal coop, and that’s when her perverting protectress reveals her true talons.
