The epoch-making drama The Blue Lagoon (1980) stars ’80s icons Brooke Shields and Christopher Atkins are Emmeline and Richard, two teenage cousins marooned together on a desert island since the age of seven. As the pair hits puberty, they are soon subject to the biological imperative and begin an innocent sexual relationship. Brooke Shields, who was fifteen at the time the movie was filmed, used a body double for her budding breasts and downy thistle. Those who came of age in the early ’80s owe a debt of gratitude to that unknown rack-tress who relieved them of so much baby batter.
