The heartwarming film Saving Face (2004), from Chinese American writer/director Alice Wu, shows the contrast between traditional Chinese society and anything-goes American culture. A young Chinese American lesbian (Michelle Krusiec) practicing as a surgeon in New York is shocked when her traditionalist single mother shows up pregnant on her doorstep. The daughter hustles to save Mom's reputation by hooking her up with Mr. Right, while Michelle winds up in bed with Lynn Chen in a sex scene that must not be missed by any Asian Sapphic fanatic!
