99 francs (2007) combines the talents of inventive filmmaker Jan Kounen, who exposed the wide-open underwater crotch of Juliette Lewis in Blueberry (2003), with hipster writer Frederic Beigbeder, who wrote the novel upon which the movie was based. The story focuses on cocaine-snorting Parisian cool cat Octave (Jean Dujardin), who becomes fed up with the superficiality of his life and kills himself. But then again, maybe he doesn't. The visuals and dialogue swirl and pile up in a way that both dazzles and disorients the viewer, while also providing a perfect showcase for delectable nudity from Euro bombshells Vahina Giocante and Elisa Tovati.
