Party Monster (2003) is a bitter biographical tale about the agony and ecstasy of New York club kid Michael Alig, played by Macaulay Culkin. Former Indiana hayseed turned pompous party promoter, Alig finds himself at the bottom of the heap after exposing on TV that he killed his drug dealer roommate Angel Melendez (Wilson Cruz). The press counts it as a shameless publicity stunt until the fallen Angel’s body washes up on the shore of the East River. Alig couldn’t keep his devilish dealings with Drano in the veins of his homeboy from sending him up the river to Rikers Island.
