A pair of scientists are thawed from a cryogenic state only to discover that they’re the only males left on a post-apocalyptic Earth in the preposterously funny Polish movie Sexmission (1984). Written and directed by Juliusz Machulski, this sex comedy/sci-fi hybrid--a deft exercise in wish fulfillment--mopped up at the Polish box office. It stars Olgierd Lukaszewicz and Jerzy Stuhr as labcoat-wearing dweebs who encounter legions of scantily clad women after being roused from their frozen slumber. Bozena Stryjkówna and Karina Szafranska are just two of the twenty-first-century babes eager to please the lucky stiffs who survive the planetary calamity.
