Elizabeth Taylor is a free-spirited mama who has a fling with a priest in The Sandpiper (1965), Vincente Minnelli's big flick about Big Sur starring the biggest names in the biz. Liz's under-the-sheets man of the cloth is none other than Richard Burton, her on-and-off off-screen squeeze. He's skeeved by her breezy, easy way of life and her outrageous rejection of the moral status quo, but the more he sees of her, the more he wants to rip off his collar and sin, sin, sin! They meet when Liz is forced by the state to put her bastard boy in school; the teener is shipped off to Dick's parochial academy to shape up for good. But Liz's shape drives Dick crazy, and even though he has a lady (and she happens to be Eva Marie Saint to boot!) he just can't keep his little minister in his pants anymore. One look at nearly nude Liz airing her biz and neither will you!
