Remember how you used to cringe whenever that crappy pop song What I Like About You came on the radio back in the 80’s? Well, by most accounts watching the crappy sitcom of the same name in the year 2002 will elicit the same effect. Sixteen-year-old Holly (Amanda Bynes) is faced with a dilemma. Her father has just taken a job in Japan, and she can either go live there with him or move in with her straight-laced big sister Valerie in New York City. Since she doesn’t want to live in a place where most people don’t speak English, Japan it is (just kidding, she goes to the Big Apple). Valerie (Jennie Garth) has both a great career and a great boyfriend in a carefully organized sitcom fantasy life on the Upper West Side. Then that little bitch Holly has to move in and try to become a part of Val's fabulous life, turning her world upside down. Next thing you know, she’ll be smoking all of Valerie’s chronic and trying to put the moves on her man! So far, no one we know of from the show has done any nude scenes, or rather, any that are easily accessible. While Jennie Garth did give us a brief bit of Northern exposure in the Swedish version of Danielle Steele’s Star, the damn thing is so hard to track down that you practically have to scour the video stores of Norrkopping to find a copy. Her young co-star Amanda Bynes is still underage, but don’t worry, we’ll keep an eye on her. She’ll be eighteen soon, and we see a bright future for her in teen-actress-has-been softcore.
