Was there sex before Russ Meyer? Of course, but it wasn’t as dirty. The director of the biggest busts in the West has a canon of hot flicks that will get any red-blooded man (and many hot-blooded ladies) shooting off their flesh cannons. Always tongue-in-cheek, if you could keep that tongue from panting like a dog, Meyer’s genius was in placing sex in the bright sun with no dark shadows of guilt or repression to prevent the good times. The times are certainly good in Common Law Cabin (1967), where a jewel thief has to seduce the curvaceous females of an Arizona dude ranch to hide out from the authorities. Those girls include Alaina Capri and Vicky Dee in skingy roles, though Vicky does show brief partial tit while bathing in a stream. It’s blonde Babette Bardot who flashes some nip and butt while skinny-dipping. If that cabin’s a-rocking, best not come knocking!
